2003年1月、内田香がパリ留学から帰国後に結成したコンテンポラリーダンスカンパニー。Roussewaltz（ルッシュワルツ）は、フランス語と英語からなる「赤毛のワルツ」の意。強さ、華かさ、儚さ、気まぐれ・・・、といった現代女性の多面性や日常をスタイリッシュに描く作品を次々に発表している。N.Y.タイムズ紙で「絶えず魅力的な舞台。Roussewaltzの全プログラムを観ることが出来たら、何と素晴らしいことだろう。」と評される。

2006年1月には、「冷めないうちに召し上がれ」をニューヨークとサンチャゴで上演。また、05年に発表した「なみだ」が、社団法人現代舞踊協会制定第23回江口隆哉賞と、舞踊批評家協会賞を受賞。

The Company formed in 2003 by the acclaimed dancer and choreographer Kaoru Uchida, Roussewaltz has rapidly established itself as a distinctive company with notable grace, style, and modern femininity. Since the company's self-titled first production, the works have explored the dynamic of emotions, tensions and little ironies in women's lives with sensitivity and wit. Under Uchida's sharp eye, this well honed corps of technically proficient and expressive dancers brings an eminently enjoyable experience to the stage for both audiences that are new to dance and those that have a highly discriminating appreciation.

Within its short history, Roussewaltz has been invited to perform in some of Japan's most prestigious venues, including the New National Theater and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space.

Roussewaltz主宰。各コンクールにて第1位を受賞。現代舞踊協会新人賞、村松賞、舞踊批評家協会新人賞などを次々と受賞し、文化庁派遣在外研修員としてパリに留学。2006年には舞踊批評家協会賞、江口隆哉賞を受賞。国内、海外公演にも多数ゲスト出演し、シャープなテクニックと表現力で好評を博している。

After graduating from Japan's leading choreography program at the Japan Women's College of Physical Education, Ms Uchida continued to refine her training under the countryﾕs　eminent personas in ballet (Ayako Ogawa) and modern dance (Sachiko Koike). She soon　excelled in both performance and choreography, accumulating national awards for her daring and emotional choreography. This culminated in 2001 with a prestigious overseas internship grant from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, which gave her the opportunity to move to Paris for two years. There work with some of the leading choreographers and dancers of France, such as Thierry Verger and Ira Kodiche. When she returned to Japan in 2003 her career took the next step in its natural development with the establishment of her own company, Roussewaltz. She has also developed into a sought after dance educator for her ability to communicate the vision and beauty of a highly refined dance esthetic
